Our goal is to make the process of getting a new roof as painless as possible. We want to take great care of you, your property, and your belongings, so we’ve prepared a checklist for you. Taking these precautions will greatly reduce the possibility of any damage, miscommunication, or safety concerns during the roof installation.

1. Cut your grass very short.

The shorter your grass is, the more thoroughly we can clean up after ourselves! We run a magnetic sweeper across the property several times throughout installations to collect nails. The shorter your grass is, the better we can collect those nails – plus any trash or leftover debris.

2. Trim back vegetation that may hinder access to the roof eaves.

We need unobstructed access in order to install your new roof safely and properly, so please trim anything that’s touching or nearly touching the roof.

3. Clear your driveway, decks, patios, and porches.

Typically, materials are delivered a day before installation. Clear space for them in your driveway, and then protect the rest of your property from flying debris by removing any furniture, vehicles, landscape lighting, and planters. This includes animals! Plan to keep your pets inside on installation day.

4. Protect items in your attic.

Remove or cover items in the attic so that sawdust, nails, or other debris that could enter won’t damage your belongings. A tarp works well for this.

5. Review all siding and windows for pre-existing damage prior to the installation.

Take photos of any damage to the exterior of your home before our crew begins.
